In-class discussion reading

During our first class, we will watch a quick video about the future of journalism.

Then, please read “What makes a good PR pro: A degree or a journalism background” to yourself.

You will then break in to small groups to answer the following questions:

  1. Is journalism dying?
  2. Is proper grammar and AP style more important in journalism or PR? Explain.
  3. Will knowing how to write journalistic articles increase your knowledge of how to be an effective PR practitioner? Explain?
  4. How do you envision the relationship between journalists & PR practitioners in the profession?
